We are seeking a Level 1 Desktop Support Specialist. This position is responsible for first level problem/incident recording, problem resolution and problem escalation. This position provides problem escalations to Business I.T., Broadcast I.T., Engineering, and other appropriate technology groups. Areas of support include: PC/Mac desktops, desktop application software, peripheral devices, and other technology as deemed within scope.

what you'll do
  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of the following: desktops, laptops, IOS, Android devices, printers and operating systems.
  • Ensure desktop, laptops and smart devices interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including active directory, file, print, application, email and remote access.
  • Setup and break down A/V systems for onsite conference rooms and offsite organization meetings.
  • Monitor and manage helpdesk support requests via telephone, email and walkup.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Other duties as required.
what you should know
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 2010 Office Suite, Mac OS, Citrix, Cisco Anyconnect and virus protection software
  • Demonstrable knowledge of computer audio interfaces and audio editor software
  • Knowledge of desktops, associated peripherals and printers
  • Knowledge of IOS and Android tablets and smart phones
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic software, hardware, LAN connectivity and VPN remote access problems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • 1-2 years’ experience supporting 250 to 500 users
